About Me


Brett Marty is a photographer and filmmaker based in San Francisco, California, from the Department of Art Practice at UC-Berkeley. His first feature film Ferlinghetti, premiered at the San Francisco International Film Festival in 2009. During the 2008 Presidential Election, he was on the campaign trail as a documentary photographer for the political blog FiveThirtyEight (now at the New York Times). His previous photo project led him to drive a rusty Buick from San Francisco, California, to Tierra del Fuego in Argentina, to where it now rests in Paraguay.

Currently, he is working on a series of short films and is the Creative Director at LaunchSquad.
